Once you create your email, you can set up forwarders, auto-responders, and use one of the three webmail applications available to manage your email. Configure Your Email Application:
Once you have created your email account, you can easily access your email using an email client. HostMonster utilizes AutoDiscovery and AutoConfig (AutoConfigure) to automatically setup your email account, with just the email address and password. AutoConfig will currently work with Outlook 2007+ and Mozilla Thunderbird.
If you are not using Outlook 2007+ or Thunderbird you will need to manually configure your email client. Below are the general settings to configure any email client:
- Mail Server Username: Your full email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (server requires authentication)
